TempSense™

More time baling, less time in the shop

Be confident enough to keep your baler in the field when it matters most.

TempSense stands as a safeguard, proactively giving owners and operators real-time insights about their balers to help prevent bearing failure while also promoting preventative maintenance. This innovative system utilizes a suite of wireless sensors placed near high-stress bearings within the bale chamber. These highly responsive sensors continuously monitor bearing temperatures, promptly alerting the operator to bearings that may need inspection or maintenance. Currently, TempSense is being offered exclusively on the ZR5-1200 self-propelled baler, exemplifying our unwavering dedication to forage innovation.

Fire prevention

Help protect your equipment. A common cause of round baler fires can be mechanical issues. TempSense alerts the operator if bearings reach a high temperature so they can stop and inspect their baler or bearings to help prevent a fire.

Predictive maintenance

Keep your baler in the field when it matters most. By monitoring bearing temperatures while baling, TempSense helps operators recognize when bearings need maintenance, inspection or replacement before they fail.

Prolonged bearing life

Extend the life of your bearings by knowing when they need maintenance. A temperature increase due to contamination in a bearing can be detected by TempSense, alerting the operator to inspect and clean a bearing of field debris before a failure.

In-cab alerts

View bearing temperatures from the comfort of the cab. Sensors placed near key bearings in the bale chamber communicate wirelessly with the control system to alert operators when bearings reach temperatures that need attention. A yellow indicator means the operator should inspect or perform maintenance, while a red indicator signals the operator that a bearing needs immediate attention.
