Vermeer autonomous bale mover, AKA Bale Hawk, wins Best Field Concept Robot award
At the international agricultural robot event FIRA on Dec. 9, 2021, the Vermeer autonomous bale mover, AKA Bale Hawk, was announced as the 2021 Best Field Concept Robot in the Specialized category by Future Farming Online.

Each robot was judged based on originality, feasibility, and the potential to impact a producer's life.

The patent-pending autonomous bale mover nicknamed “Bale Hawk” will travel around the field autonomously via onboard sensors to locate bales, pick them up and move them to a predetermined location.
