In 2021, the VCF’s largest 20 gifts demonstrated a connection to local and educational organizations with more than $613,000 given to local organizations with an additional $582,000 given to educational institutions.
“VCF strives to reflect the caring culture of Vermeer Corporation as we focus our giving in the communities our team members call home,” stated Tricia Vermeer, executive director of the VCF. “We also focus on education opportunities at all levels—preschool, elementary, high school and colleges and universities. We strive to help our team members and their neighbors in the important work they do in their communities.”
Wesley Retirement Services, Central College, Pella Historical Society, Lake View Camp and south-central Iowa Christian and community school districts were the recipients of the larger awards funded by the VCF. The VCF also supports environmental organizations such as the Nature Conservancy of Iowa.
The vision of VCF is to be an agent of God’s resources, serving locally, regionally and worldwide to bring God honor and praise.
